We are proud to continue to offer our couples an intimate and personalized planning experience while promising the expertise of an event agency. 

And it is because of those values, that we only take on a minimal amount of weddings each year. 

By allowing ourselves the time to dedicate everything we’ve got to our couples, we can guarantee them the experience they imagined and the wedding day that they could’ve only dreamed of.

Through countless meetings with engaged couples during my time as a Catering Manager, I learned that most had three things in common.






After being asked to take on the planner role by several of these couples, I realized my career path had been laid out in front of me.

Storybook is focused on helping couples solve these three problems and the many more that they have. Since our opening in late 2014, we have helped over 60 couples plan their wedding and tie the knot! 



They were stressed.
They were not experiencing the engagement they'd envisioned.
And they needed help.

5 Things You May Not Know About Me:

I used to drive a super comp dragster and was licensed by World Champion Funny Car Driver, Jack Beckman. I raced for three years and was sponsored by the world leading, Don Schumacher Racing. Since then, I have filled the adrenaline of 200mph with the excitement of my couples’ wedding day!

I am a mommy to a silly and sweet almost two year old boy. Caleb brightens my day and makes me constantly remember to enjoy each passing moment as they come and go too quickly. 

My husband and I met in Disney World and got married in 2015 at A New Leaf in Lincoln Park!

I have a passion for music and love attending the concerts of my favorite musicians! Damien Rice and Amos Lee are my two top favorite artists and I have seen them both almost more times than I can count!

I love details! From calligraphy on silk ribbon to be tied around the bouquet or your wedding vows written on scrolls as a wedding backdrop, customized drink stirrers and everything in between. My couple’s can count on me to not overlook a thing!

Coffee. It is the reason that I make it through most days! But, you will probably find me sitting with the same cup that I brewed at 6am still sitting at my desk at the end of the day. As much as I love my coffee, sometimes I think just having it on my desk does the same job as drinking it!

Nicole is as passionate about finding the most specific shade for her couple’s color pallets as she is about perfecting their wedding day logistics.

Finding fun in organizing EVERYTHING (and we mean everything!), she began her planning career coordinating events for Disney Vacation Club in Walt Disney World. 

When not spending time with her couples, you can find Nicole enjoying life with her husband and their almost two year old son, Caleb!

5 Things You May Not Know About Me:

I am a lover of music of all forms. I have played the piano for 20+ years and studied operatic vocal performance. I am still an active musician in the community, and I sing with an incredible group based out of Lakeview, Allegrezza. Besides performing I love listening to music, going to concerts, and discovering new artists.

Traveling is one of my biggest passions. I was fortunate to live in Italy and have travelled all over Europe. Discovering new cultures, food, traditions, and architecture is one of my favorite things to do when I am not wedding planning.

Cooking for my friends and family is something that really brings me joy. I constantly host people for dinner and love to be creative in the kitchen. I cook as often as I can, and I rarely use a recipe. I enjoy testing new flavor combinations and crossing my fingers that it turns out to be tasty.

 Along with cooking, I just love food in general. Trying new restaurants in every place I have lived and travelled to is absolutely a part of who I am. My friends and family always turn to me for a good restaurant recommendation. I try to be adventurous and try new foods when I go to eat. Usually I discover new and exciting dishes.

Coats and Shoes are what make an outfit. I am definitely an addict when it comes to these items :) Heels of every color and material are the perfect pop for any outfit, and I am a midwest girl so cute coats are simply a necessity of life.

Lisa is our world traveler and event strategy extraordinaire! From surprise weddings to themed events, Lisa not only holds a creative mind but brings her couples craziest ideas to life! 

Lisa has produced a vast variety of events from music festivals, corporate galas and expos and brings her expertise of successful event execution and development to the Storybook team! 

Apart from events, Lisa studies new languages, prioritizes travel and is an active musician in Chicago.
